About Us
Building a connected ecosystem around young people
About Right Track Sports
Creating opportunity. Building pathways. Developing potential.
The Right Track Sports, founded in 2014, is a Birmingham-based youth development organisation creating opportunities for children and young people through sport, education, skills, employment and community engagement.
We believe potential exists everywhere, but access to opportunity does not.
Sport is often where the relationship begins. Purpose is where we want it to lead.

Who We Are
Our roots are in sport and community engagement, but our work extends far beyond participation.
We connect young people with personal development, education, qualifications, employment, football, leadership and opportunities to contribute within their communities.
Everything is connected through our Pathway to Purpose:
Engage. Build. Connect. Progress. Contribute.
Our Vision
Children and young people are safe, purposeful and equipped to achieve their goals while contributing positively to their communities.
That vision shapes how we design programmes, build partnerships and think about progression.
Why We Exist
Where a young person starts should not determine where they are able to go.
Talent and potential are not limited to particular postcodes, schools or families. Access to relationships, experiences, networks and opportunities can be.
Right Track exists to help close that opportunity gap.
Why Sport?
Sport creates connection.
It can bring young people into positive environments, build relationships and create a platform for development.
Sport will not always be the destination.
It can be the vehicle that opens the door.
What drives us
Four principles behind everything we do.
Sport as a vehicle
Football and sport are how we connect — never the whole story. They open doors that talk alone cannot.
Trusted relationships
Consistency and trust come first. Young people engage with people they believe in.
Connected opportunity
We build an ecosystem around each young person — not a single intervention.
Young people at the centre
Their goals, their pace, their future. We walk alongside, not in front.
The five strands of Our Approach
Relationship-Led — Development begins with trust and consistent relationships.
Strengths-Based — We build from what young people can do, not simply what they lack.
Opportunity-Focused — Every programme should expand what a young person can see or access.
Connected — We link community, education, sport, employers and wider partners.
Progression-Driven — What matters is creating a meaningful next step.

Rooted in Community
Local relationships. Wider opportunities.
Our Birmingham roots matter. Understanding communities, building trusted relationships and working alongside local organisations helps us create relevant opportunities.
But young people's ambitions should not be limited by geography.
Rooted locally. Connected more widely.

Partnership Creates Opportunity
No single organisation can provide every opportunity a young person may need.
We work with schools, local authorities, businesses, employers, football organisations, community groups and funders to create stronger pathways together.
What Success Means to Us
Success is more than attendance.
It can mean a young person becoming more confident, reconnecting with education, developing a skill, completing a qualification, meeting an employer, progressing into a new opportunity or returning as a volunteer, coach or leader.
Progress will look different for every young person.

From Potential to Purpose
Our role is to connect people with opportunities and help those opportunities lead somewhere.
