Pathway to Purpose

Engage. Build. Connect. Progress. Contribute.

The Pathway to Purpose is the framework behind how Right Track Sports creates meaningful opportunities for young people.

Positive outcomes rarely come from one activity, one programme or one conversation. They develop through relationships, experiences and opportunities that connect over time.

The Journey

A pathway that moves forward and stays connected.

Young people can enter Right Track at different points and through different activities. The pathway is not intended to be a rigid sequence.

Instead, it gives us one consistent question:

What is the next meaningful opportunity for this young person?

01 — Engage

Create the connection.

Young people may first meet Right Track through sport, football, community activity or another trusted local relationship.

Engagement is about creating environments where young people feel safe, welcome and able to participate.

Trust is built through consistency and listening.

Engage is about creating the relationship from which everything else can grow.

02 — Build

Develop the individual.

Once a relationship exists, we create opportunities for young people to develop confidence, resilience, communication, teamwork, aspirations and leadership.

It is about strengthening the person behind the opportunity.

03 — Connect

Open access to opportunity.

Development becomes more powerful when young people can access new people, information, experiences, networks and opportunities.

Through our relationships with schools, businesses, employers, football organisations and community partners, we help make those connections.

Connect is about making opportunity visible and accessible.

04 — Progress

Turn opportunity into action.

Progress may mean education, a qualification, training, employment, work experience, football, volunteering or leadership.

Our role is not to decide the destination for a young person.

It is to help them understand their options and move towards a meaningful next step.

Progress is about turning possibility into a meaningful next step.

05 — Contribute

Create opportunities for others.

Development becomes even more powerful when young people begin using their experience to support others.

That might mean becoming a coach, mentor, volunteer, leader or positive contributor within their community.

Contribution turns individual progress into wider community impact.

One Pathway. Multiple Ways In.

From Participant to Contributor

  1. An opportunity creates a relationship.
  2. The relationship creates trust.
  3. Trust creates space for development.
  4. Development builds confidence.
  5. Confidence creates access to opportunity.
  6. Opportunity creates progression.
  7. And progression can enable a young person to open the door for someone else.
